Technician Quick Reference Guide: Reset Database
A Database Reset is required monthly to keep your tablet’s accounting period current.
When to Reset the Database
Required: On the 1st day of each month after the End of Month close.
Recommended: Also reset twice during the month:
Around the 10th
Around the 20th
These additional resets help keep the RFS App synced with Vision software, including updates such as:
New customers
Rate changes
Other system updates
Why This Is Important
If the database is not reset, you may see this message when entering register lines:
“Outside Of The Open Accounting Period.”
When this occurs, you will not be able to edit or delete register lines.
Steps to Reset the Database
Open the Menu (☰ three lines) in the top left corner.
Select Settings.
Select Reset Database.
Confirm by selecting Yes on the pop-up message.
Reenter your QuickPin to complete the reset.
⚠ Reminder: Resetting regularly ensures your tablet stays synchronized with company systems and prevents accounting errors.
