Technician Quick Reference Guide: Multiple Technicians on One Work Order (Single Signature)
Use this process when two or more technicians are assigned to the same work order and only one customer signature is required.
Step 1: Secondary Technicians Complete Their Entries
Each additional technician must:
Enter their Parts, Labor, and Miscellaneous register lines on their own tablet.
Select Complete status. (DBoard Communication. This means you are no longer actively working on this call.
Select Today's Data.
Checkout and Submit the work order on their tablet.
During checkout, they must:
Steps
In the Select Status field, select Complete.
Remove the customer’s email address before submitting, unless you want to send the checkout form.
Select Today's Data.
Checkout
Choose Work Order without Pricing.
Sign and Save their own checkout form
Select Submit.
Confirm with the Primary Technician and answer all Post Questions as instructed (The Primary Technician will answer the same on their post questions)
Once completed, select Refresh Schedule to view any updates to your schedule.
⚠ This prevents double-queuing and multiple work orders from being emailed to the customer.
Step 2: Primary Technician Refreshes Work Order
After the other technicians submit their entries:
The Primary Technician selects Refresh Work Order.
This updates the Primary Technician’s tablet with:
Register lines entered by other technicians
Notes added by other technicians
Step 3: Primary Technician Finalizes the Work Order
The Primary Technician will:
Add their own Parts and Labor entries.
Preview the checkout form to verify all entries appear correctly.
Select Complete.
Checkout and Submit the work order.
Obtain the single customer signature.
Correctly answer the same Post Questions as the secondary technicians.
Once completed, select Refresh Schedule to view any updates to your schedule.
⚠ Important:
Only the Primary Technician’s submission should send the final signed work order to the customer if they choose.
✅ Tip: Always Refresh Work Order before final checkout to ensure all technician register lines appear on the final signed work order.
