Technician Quick Reference Guide: Entering Register Lines
Register entries are used to record Parts, Labor, and Miscellaneous charges for a work order.
To access the register:
From the STATUS screen, select Register at the bottom.
You will see four tabs used for entering and reviewing register lines.
Register Tab (Review Only)
The Register tab shows a combined view of all entries, including:
Register (Review Only)
Parts - Enter Truck Stocking Parts.
Labor - Technician, O/T Technician for Onsite Labor and Travel Labor, O/T Travel Labor.
Miscellaneous - Enter Mileage and other misc items.

Editing Register Lines
You may only edit register lines entered on today’s date.
The RFS system requires all register entries to be completed before the end of each workday.
You cannot edit entries from previous days, whether they were entered by you or another technician.
Adding Parts to the Register
Select the Parts tab.
Select + Add Part.
Select the Equipment field. If available, select the equipment for this part.
Recommended Method: Barcode Scan
Use the Scan function to scan the part barcode.
Enter the Quantity.

Select:
Save (for a single entry)
Save & Add Another (to continue adding parts)
This ensures the correct part number and pricing are used.
Manual Search Method
Select the Part Number field.
Search for the part in your Truck Inventory.
Enter the Quantity.

Select:
Save (for a single entry)
Save & Add Another (to continue adding parts)
Parts Inventory Search
When searching for parts, you can view inventory in multiple locations.
Search options include:
Truck Inventory (your available stock)
Warehouse Inventory
Other Technician Stocking Locations
You can view the Quantity On Hand (QOH) across all company locations.
⚠ Important:
You can only sell parts from your Truck Inventory.
Updating Your Parts & Inventory Lookup
When parts are transferred from the warehouse to your truck inventory, you must REFRESH your parts database.
Option 1 Steps
With any work order assignment:
Ensure you have a live connection.
Select + ADD PART
Select the Part Number field to Search.
Select REFRESH at the top of the Parts screen.
Select the Part Number field to Search.
Select the Warehouse button to see all stocking locations, or
Select the Truck button for the technician's own stocking location.
Redefine the search if needed to drill down to find the specific part.
If it's in any stocking location, the part will show QOH (Quantity on Hand)
⚠ Important Tip!
You can REFRESH your parts from any Work Order to verify the transfer. Please cancel (Back to the Main Status screen.
This will update:
Truck inventory
Part pricing
Available quantities
Option 2 Steps
Without a work order assignment
Ensure you have a live connection.
Select Menu from the status screen
Select Inventory within the menu.
Select REFRESH at the top of the Parts screen
Select the Part Number field to Search.
Select the Warehouse button to see all stocking locations, or
Select the Truck button for the technician's own stocking location.

Redefine the search if needed to drill down to find the specific part.
If it's in any stocking location, the part will show QOH (Quantity on Hand)
If Parts Are Needed
A Parts Requisition Form must be completed.
The Parts Requisition Form is found in the Master Forms.
✅ Best Practice:
Perform a parts database REFRESH DAY at the start of your day to ensure your pricing and inventory are current.
